INVITED SPEAKER

Graham Sones, co-founder and principal of SGA Group, was recently featured as an invited speaker, at the 2023 American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Conference on Landscape Architecture, held this year in Minneapolis, MN, from October 27-30, 2023. Graham is a member and leading proponent of the Historic Preservation Professional Practice Network (PPN), which is a committee under ASLA.

This year’s session topics featured updates on the 2023 Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) Challenge-Working Landscapes, and discussion on the PPN’s Cultural Landscapes Education Working Group. The 2024 HALS Challenge was announced as open to any theme, for the coming year, due July 31, 2024.

For over 20 years, Mr. Sones has been an advocate and leader in historic landscape preservation in Minnesota. He continues to serve in that role on the board of the ASLA/Minnesota Chapter of ASLA, as the HALS representative.
